the Finger Lakes Running Company. I'm listing a few runs that I've plotted
already, names with associated weblinks:
1. CassParkLoop

Loops out and back on trendy West
State Street. Joins the paved recreation path
paralleling the inlet across from the boat docks and Farmer's Market, and
circles the marina and point at Cass Park on the south shore of Lake Cayuga.
2. BeebeLakeLoop

follows a cinder path to Cornell's back entrance, across north campus to BeebeLake.
Crossing a stone arched footbridge traces the north shore of Beebe
Lake before venturing back down campus to center Ithaca.

Cuts along the foot of south hill behind Ithaca's
big box retail section to ButtermilkFallsState
Park. Ascending on clean dirt trail over cascading Buttermilk Creek and around drying Treman Lake of Upper Buttermilk, the route takes you
through IthacaCollege's
campus high on South Hill, out a little-used cut-through to the cinder recreation
path and back to downtown Ithaca.

A loop for those seeking to get the work on in a hurry....Running across the
Ithaca Commons will be the last flat this loop will see for the next 4.5
miles as it travels up the hills of Danby Road, King Road, and Ridgecrest
before topping out high above Ithaca College.

A short loop from the store running across the commons, through a stretch of
South Hill homes, across a bridge with access to the 6 mile wildflower
preserve, up a short hill before turning to descend back to the commons and
heart of Ithaca.

A staple of our time at IthacaCollege, the Six Mile Gorge loop
offers the runner quality wood and water time just outside
of center Ithaca.
This loop begins with a trip through the trails of the Six Mile Wildflower
Preserve. You will run parallel to Six Mile Creek for several miles
passing two main dams. The first is a common public swimming and cliff jumping
area for locals. A second pool at the base of a
gorge spillway offers swimmers/adventurers a natural rock slide that runs
against the creekright wall. After a
"half-pipe" hill section on Burns
Road, runners will be treated to 3 miles of the
beautiful wooded cinder/recreation path back
toward Ithaca.

This loop, starting from the Finger Lakes Running Company will take you through
downtown's Fall Creek Neighborhood, through a Bird Conservatory area to
Stewart Park. Once in the park loop around along the south shore of LakeCayuga,
wrapping aroundIthacaHigh School and past IthacaFalls.
Take a moment if able to take a swim in the pool at the base of IthacaFalls
before resuming the run. Taking a right at the
infamous "Creeker" (Fall Creek Tavern), any left in the next few
blocks will take you back through Fall Creek and toward the commons.
